State Fair

On Sunday we headed down to the "Great Minnesota Get-Together." The weather was perfect, nice and cool and sunny. We left early hoping to get there before it was too crowded, but I think many others had the same thought! Phil did a great job navigating the stroller through all the people and not even hitting a single person's ankle ;-) Mason enjoyed people watching and especially liked going through the Little Farm Hands Farm. He got to carry a little bucket, feed the chickens, plant a seed, milk a cow, drive a tractor, pick an apple, shear a sheep, and even got paid for all his hard work. We limited ourselves when it came to fair food and we were both thankful when we were driving home and not feeling overly full! We checked out the barns and saw rabbits, cows, sheep, pigs and horses (Mason's favorite). We left before the streets were absolutely packed and made a quick stop in Maple Grove to shop a little. Mason was actually so exhausted from all the sights that he was a sleep before we had even left the State Fair parking lot!! What a good day.
