As we prepare for our new addition at the end of October we have been working on Mason's new bedroom. We had to move our "office" downstairs, which was great because it forced us to actually go through the piles and dust that has accumulated with time. Phil repainted the walls and we got new carpet in both bedrooms to freshen things up. The new carpet went in this morning and finally we can move forward and get Mason a new bed and get him to SLEEP IN IT!!! He has been snuggling with Mom and Dad a little too much and needs to start sleeping alone. We have been trying to talk up his "big boy bed" and his "own new room" but I still feel like he really doesn't get it or really even care. I think this is similar to talking about the new baby that will be in our home soon. He knows there is a baby in mommy's big belly but until the baby is actually here and taking up some of "his" time I don't think he really gets it. Only time will tell and hopefully the transitions will go smoothly.
