Sledding

Today was beautiful outside!!! The kids took early naps so we had time to get outside and play. We tried skating again...Mason still wasn't ready to put his feet on the ground, we even brought a chair along to help. He did skate around with Dad and played a little hockey but with his boots on. The chair came in handy when Mason decided he just wanted to sit and watch Dad skate around.

There is a big hill across the street that we have been eyeing up for sledding this winter. Finally we were able to trek over and try it out with the warmth and sun. Jayden even got in on the fun and got bundled up and had a sled ride. Mason thought sledding was so fun. You could hear his screams of delight from the top of the hill where Jayden and I watched. After about 6 trips up and down Phil was drenched in sweat from the climbs and Jayden had decided she had enough so we headed home. The noise and bumping of the sled must have been soothing to her because she actually fell asleep on the way back to our house. It is so nice to be able to get outside and get some fresh air. Yeah for temps in the 30's!!!
