Pancake Maker

Again the mailman was good to us last week when a cute package from California arrived with Mason's name on it. He had had a rough day at daycare and his mood has been a bit crabby (to put it mildly) lately (I think it is because of all this cold weather and not enough fresh air and outside time!!!). He was so excited when I said there was something for him in the mail. "Mines???" he asked. I helped him tear into the package and inside was a wonderful "pancake maker." Bonnie, Mike and Grandma Annabelle sent a huge red spatula and a heart shaped cut out to make heart shaped pancakes. He thought this was the best. He practiced flipping his fake pancakes all night. We are planning on making Valentine's pancakes since V-day falls on a Saturday this year. It is great how something so simple can make him so happy and take the crabbiness right out of him. Thank you Bonnie, Mike and Grandma...you always know how to send the right gifts at the right times. Hope you guys are doing well, enjoy the warmth and sun, it is another chilly morning here (-1 degree).
