Thursday morning Mason felt warm when he woke up...we took his temp and it was 99.2 You can go to daycare and if you have a temp of 101 or more they will send you home for the day and the next day...so Mason took some Motrin and went to daycare. Thursday eve when I picked him up they said he had a temp of 100.5 for most of the day and he looked like hell. His eyes were tired and his nose was bright red and chapped from being wiped. He did not sleep well on Thursday night and Friday was just as warm as the day before with a temp of 100.2 We both had busy days planned at work so made some calls and Papa Tom and Grandma Paulette offered to take care of our little sickling for the morning. Phil was able to take Mason into the Dr. and his eyes, ears, throat, lungs, and heart were all good. Our Dr. recommended testing for RSV since Jayden is so little and since it has been going through the daycare. He tested positive, but since it is a virus there is not much they could do. Rest and liquids were recommended and keeping Mason away from Jayden as much as possible(easier said than done!!!). Jayden spent the day at daycare and I let them know about Mason. According to both the infant and toddler rooms RSV has been in both rooms for the past few weeks. You can be at daycare as long as you don't have a temp. Jayden has definitely been exposed already so hopefully she makes it through without getting too sick. She has had a cough for the past few weeks like Mason has but no temp. Anyway with sick kids it has made for a long (boring) weekend. Hopefully we are on the mend here but only time will tell!
